BCA:(Bachelor of Computer Application)
Bachelor of computer applications is 3 year 6 semester degree course affiliated to Rani Channamma University Belgavi.
This is one of the most sought after courses in the academic arena. This program provides practical hands on experience in the form of industrial interaction and exposure ,which gives the student and edge over the others when it comes to employment.
Eligibility : (BCA)
- A Candidate ,who has passed the two year Pre-University course(10+2), Securing a minimum 35% of marks of Pre-University Board in the state of Karnataka. Consisting of atleast two science subjects as optional of any other course considered as equivalent there to by the University shall be eligible for admission to B.C.A Degree Course.
- A Candidate offering BCA degree a) any student who has passed Pre-University course Science or Commerce securing a minimum of 35% of Marks or b) Any student who has passed JODC or Diploma in Enng. (of Three years duration of GOVT.of Karnataka ) with minimum of 35% of Marks aggregate in all the semesters/years.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Theory Examination
The Question paper shall consist of 3 Sections namely A , B and C.
Section A shall have 12 questions of 2 marks each and students have to answer any 10.
Section B shall have 8 questions of 5 marks each and students have to answer any 6.
Section C shall have 5 questions of 10 marks each and students have to answer any 3.
Section A ( 2 x 10 = 20 Marks)
Section B (5 x 6 = 30 Marks)
Section C (10 x 3 =30 Marks)

Practical Examination
Evaluation criteria for practical examinations shall be as follows:
a. Writing of Programs -30 Marks
b. One program from the journal list – 15 Marks
c. Another program given by examiner based on the concepts studied -15

a. Execution of programs – 35 Marks
b. Journal Program -20 Marks
c. Program of Examiner’s Choice -15 Marks
d. Viva-Voce -10 Marks
e. Journal / Laboratory Report – 5 Marks
